It is not just about actions, but our hearts too. To keep from sin we need to throw ourselves on the Saviour. We can also 'fly under the radar', avoiding persecution because we do not make a stand for Jesus. While suffering may seem a burden, it can refine us, brings us closer to God, glorify him, and will be rewarded.
