We continue on a theme of following your dream and find your voice, a theme so eloquently presented by Dave Grohl's keynote address on Wednesday as we talk with former All Songs Considered intern Will Butler, who only last week, broke and with no plan decided to find a way to attend SXSW. Will is also blind, but got work writing for Noisey.Vice.com and he tells this inspiring tale. Musically we talk about loud screamy metal bands, dancey band like Rhye and Ducktails and some hip hop and country.

Phoenix and David Bowie With New Music and More

On this edition of All Songs Considered, Robin Hilton bares ...

On this edition of All Songs Considered, Robin Hilton bares his heart and soul only to have co-host Bob Boilen crush it mercilessly. The point of contention? John Denver. The late country singer, who provided the soundtrack to Robin's childhood, is celebrated on a new record called The Music Is You: A Tribute To John Denver. It features, among many other cuts and artists, My Morning Jacket doing "Leaving On A Jet Plane." We've also got a brand new song from David Bowie, from his first album of new songs in a decade. The French pop group Phoenix also returns with the band's first new song since 2009, called "Entertainment!" Plus Mwahaha, one of Bob's favorite discoveries from last year's South By Southwest music festival; the D.C. rock group Deathfix, featuring Brendan Canty of Fugazi; and Lone Bellow, a new-folk trio with amazing harmonies. We close the show with a special premiere from Wavves. The gritty rock group, known for its ramshackle songs about getting stoned, partying and boredom, finds its more reflective side on a new album called Afraid Of Heights. Phoenix Album: Bankrupt Song: Entertainment David Bowie Album: The Next Day Song: The Stars (Are Out Tonight)    Mwahaha Album: Mwahaha Song: Swimmer Deathfix Album: Deathfix Song: Better Than Bad My Morning Jacket Album: The Music Is You: A Tribute To John Denver Song: Leaving On A Jet Plane The Lone Bellow Album: The Lone Bellow Song: Green Eyes And A Heart Of Gold Wavves Album: Afraid Of Heights Song: Afraid Of Heights
