"In Focus" conducts regular video interviews with selected experts from Credit Suisse. At the heart of this are reports on selected industries and regions, as well as background information on the various asset classes - ranging from stocks, through currencies, to alternative investments. France's new President, Nicolas Sarkozy, wants to push through pro-market reforms at a frantic pace, says Hervé Prettre, head of Commodities and Equities Trading Research at Credit Suisse. It notably means the end of the 35-hour week, lower taxes and fewer public sector jobs. This should boost France’s lagging competitiveness.
