The Shining Light Film Festival is a project of the group called Awareness of Mental Health Through the Performing Arts. Travis DiNicola spoke with Jackie Pitman and Rose Kleiman from the Festival to find out more. For 22 years, the Lotus World Music and Arts Festival has taken over Bloomington with a tsunami of world music, dance, visual art, and much more. The Speedway Centre for the Arts is opening a new gallery space, and their first show will feature painter Douglas David’s work. High-profile architect Deborah Berke and her firm are designing the new Cummins building in downtown Indianapolis. Ms. Berke is coming to Indianapolis to give a free talk next week, and Sharon Gamble thinks you might want to attend. The Annual Indianapolis Sister Cities Fest brings together food, music, and more from Indy’s 8 sister cities with this free event on Georgia Street coming up on Saturday September 19th.
